The New Google+ : Cover Photo, new Stream, Hangouts, Explore, and more!

Google rolled out its new look for their own social networking site, Google Plus. It offers a new look and new features that may encourage us to use it more. With a new conversations and discussions to join, new profile page, new Google Plus hang outs, and many more!

Google Plus update the user's profile by adding a cover photo (same as on Facebook) that will let us customize our profile in this simple way. The tabs are now below the cover photo.

We also got a big profile picture and details under it.

The icons are made simple in white, once you point your cursor the color appears.

Hangouts is now improved and it has its own tab on the left side, it features a list of Hangout invitations from people in your Circles. Now it is easy to have a public Hangouts with a list of popular Hangouts and other information

The thing that made me surprised is the twitter-like trending topics.

Trending in Google+ let us join the discussion made a Twitter-like features. With a recent and best-of tabs.

Is this move will push Google Plus in third spot of most popular site? Because of the reports that Pinterest is now on the third spot, maybe this will encourage others to join its network.

Over-all, this update is now more competitive in this days where social networks are booming so fast.
